The King Solomon Academy Players are made up entirely of diligent year 7 students, who take the art of acting as seriously as they do the science of chemistry, the poetry of French and the elegance of mathematics.
After a series of auditions in front of the Director, Ms Porter, and the Production Manager, Ms Cramer, the cast was chosen. And here we are…

Macbeth
I think Macbeth (my character) is a very paranoid man. He becomes king which is a very big promotion from being a soldier. My favourite line in the play would be “How now, you secret, black midnight hag!” If I was king I would probably kill all the threats against me.

My character is a person who is not sure what or who she wants to be in life. My favourite line in the whole play is when Banquo tells the 3 witches that their “Beards forbid me to interpret that you are so [females].” If I were king I would make sure I got a lot of attention and my people got the best out of life.

My character (Malcolm) gets to become king therefore I think he is a very powerful person. My favourite line is “What! You egg!”.

The most important thing the audience needs to know is that Macduff is very loyal and only follows the rightful king. My favourite line is “turn hellhound turn”. If I was king I would help people.

My character loves her husband but she thinks her husband does not love her. If I were king I would help out people with money problems and would be the opposite of Macbeth – not paranoid or power hungry.

The audience should know that I know who killed Duncan and I am a Thane. My favourite line in the play is “Fair is foul and foul is fair.” If I was king I would make my friends kinsmen and thanes of my powerful country. I would make Scotland a peaceful place again.

My character is an evil, old, hag who loves to haunt and use people. My favourable line is “Double, double, twirl and bubble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble.” If I were king I would make the whole world dark and evil; I would be a better leader than Hecate.

If I were king, I would be generous and make the country a democracy. I would make the people happy. I would not do what Macbeth does. (You will have to watch the play to find out what I mean!).
